Name: Craig Sorger
Died: February 15, 2003
Age at death: 13
Cause of death: Murder (Beaten, stabbed)
Location: Ephrata, Washington, USA
Craig loved video games, science, and race cars. He was attending special education classes at his middle school.
When two popular classmates from his school knocked on his door and asked if he could come and play, Craig begged his mother to let him go. She agreed, and Craig ran outside to play. Hours later, Craig’s mother was getting worried because Craig was afraid of the dark. Then Craig’s body was found.
The two boys who had lured Craig out of his house claimed that he had fallen from a tree and died. But Craig had not died from a fall; he had been stabbed and beaten to death. Eventually, both boys pled guilty. They are among the youngest people in the US to be tried as adults for murder.
