John was a happy child who used to sing while riding his bike around the neighborhood. He lived with his mother and two sisters.

John disappeared from the steps of his own home, prompting neighbors to search for hours until he was found dead inside a neighbor’s home. He had been stabbed through the neck with a kitchen knife. His killer was found and charged with murder, but was found to be “not criminally responsible” because she had bipolar disorder.
