Name: Shaun Rossington
Died: June 3, 2010
Age at death: 21
Cause of death: Murder (Beating)
Location: Ermine, Lincolnshire, England, UK
At 21 years old, Shaun was getting ready to move out of his parents' house and move in with his girlfriend. He was described as a "gentle giant", a man who had many friends and no enemies. Shaun was a football fan who never missed watching his team's games and was looking forward to the World Cup. He loved cars and liked going to the gym. Shaun was also about to become an uncle–his brother's girlfriend was pregnant.
On the last day of his life, a teen girl Shaun thought was a friend asked him to come to a nearby field. She said he owed her money. When Shaun arrived without the money, he was ambushed by seven people, one of whom stunned him by hitting him on the head with a beer bottle. Then they beat him so severely that he could not raise his head to breathe and suffocated.
Shaun's murderers tried to disguise his death as a car accident, but their conspiracy fell apart. Of the seven who killed Shaun, five were convicted.
