Cause of death: Suicide (Hanging).
Location: Tupton, Derbyshire, England, UK.

Details:
When he was eleven years old, Aaron’s family sent him to live in a care home because he had been playing with fire.

A year later, he was transferred to a care home where his new care worker sexually abused him, pressuring him into compliance. He tried to escape from the care home multiple times, but no one thought to ask him why he wanted to leave so badly. Even after the care home worker broke Aaron’s arm and was fired, he continued to abuse Aaron for years.

Aaron, who feared for his life and worried that he would be sent to a juvenile prison, wasn’t able to report the abuse until he was fifteen years old. Six weeks after reporting the abuse, Aaron was dead, a victim of suicide.

However, because of Aaron’s recorded testimony, the care worker was convicted of seven counts of sexual assault and sentenced to 18 years in prison.
