Died: May 26, 2015
Age at death: 22
Cause of death: Murder (Stabbed)
Location: Bournemouth, England, UK

Details:
Phillip lived in supported housing in Parkstone, Poole. His family calls him a “kind and caring son who thought the best of everyone”, with a “wicked sense of humor”.

After he broke up with a girlfriend, Phillip wanted to stay friends. Instead, he was harassed by his ex-girlfriend and her new boyfriend, who bullied him and sent death threats to him by text message. Keeping him hooked by claiming she wanted to stay friends too, she would abuse him verbally, falsely accused him of rape, and convinced him not to go to the police about the abuse, because if he did, she would no longer be his friend.

Phillip’s ex-girlfriend called him to her flat on the pretense of meeting a mutual friend who they claimed was interested in dating Phillip. There, she and her new boyfriend ambushed him, stabbed him to death, and recorded the entire incident on a cell phone. On the recording, his last words are, “Stop, I just want to be friends, please.”

The murderers discussed staging the scene and make it look like a suicide, but Phillip’s body was at their flat, and the murder weapon was in their kitchen sink. The couple was arrested while trying to flee by bus. They were both convicted of murder.
