Daniel Jeffery

Name: Daniel Jeffery.
Died: April 13, 2020.
Age at death: 32.
Cause of death: Murder (Beaten).
Location: Leeds, England, UK.

Daniel was a smart young man who worked in IT. His mother was his best friend.

Daniel met another young man in a pub, and they started hanging out together. But the young man was a bully, and his mother worried about Daniel, who she says was “easily led”, spending time with him.

Daniel and the other man had been spending time in the other man’s flat, drinking, when the other man became angry at him and started hitting him. Daniel texted his mother, asking for help. But the other man hit him repeatedly, until Daniel was so badly hurt that he died.

A judge sentenced the killer to 16 years to life.

Died: January 6, 2020.

Though a much loved member of his family, Ollie’s special needs couldn’t be provided for at home, so he lived in residential care. His family remembers him as vulnerable and often misunderstood, but a wonderful son who will be greatly missed. He “enjoyed many activities including horse-riding, sports and playing his flute, drums and guitar [and]… was also a very keen supporter of Chelsea football club.”

Ollie was stabbed to death by a 16-year-old who knew him. He had been staying with the other teen’s family at the time.

Cameron Warwick

Died: September 4, 2019.
Age at death: 16.
Cause of death: Suicide (After long-term bullying).
Location: Fareham, Hampshire, England, UK.

Cameron had come out as gay at age 12, and was constantly harassed by his schoolmates for being gay and autistic. They would trip him in the hallways, throw food at him, refuse to sit with him, insult him, and ostracize him. The teenager came down with depression, though he did his best to cope by talking to his family whenever something was wrong.

He was a talented artist, creating pieces themed around furries (humanoid animals); he also used his art to express his feelings about suicide.

Cameron wanted to study gaming in college, but although he had several 4s in his GCSEs, he came up short in his maths GCSE and opted for computer programming instead. Toward the end of summer holidays, he and his online boyfriend broke up. That, and the prospect of returning to bullying at school, may have been the last straw for him: The day he was supposed to start school, he instead went out into the woods and hung himself.
