Jaxson attended a school for autistic children; but his parents withdrew him because they were tired of the school calling CPS on them. He lived with his parents and sister.
Jaxson was found dead on his family’s couch. He had been dead more than a day, and weighed 31 pounds, about the weight of an average 3-year-old. His sister told police that he had been locked in one room, and had broken out the bottom of the door so that he could stick his hand out.
Jaxson’s parents were arrested and charged with murder. When his mother pleaded guilty and agreed to testify against his father, his father took a plea deal himself. They were sentenced to 25 and 22 years in prison, respectively.
