Megan’s friends remember that she “was able to brighten the day of everyone who had the luxury of being in her circle of friends and acquaintances.” She liked coffee and the music of rockabilly singer Conway Twitty. She would go through Kohl’s ads and pick out what she wanted to buy; but she hated tags on shirts.
Megan was killed by her father in a homicide suicide. She is preceded in death by her mother, who died a few years before Megan. Community rehabilitation program staff who knew Megan say that her father had plenty of help taking care of her, but somehow still felt like she was “too much”.
