Baba Junior’s father suspected that he was autistic, so he allegedly paid a local fetish priest to suffocate the little boy. That night, Baba’s parents buried his body at a local cemetery. However, when the neighbors found out, they were outraged and reported the matter to the police, who began an investigation. Baba’s mother was arrested, questioned, and released; his father has fled arrest.
Editor’s note: A fetish priest is a traditional mediator between the world of the spirits and the living. They are hired to perform spiritual rituals, to channel the gods, and to advise their villages. Nowhere can I find any evidence that being a fetish priest ever involves killing unwanted infants; this one’s profession and their alleged actions as a hired killer seem to be unrelated.
