Ethan was killed by his mother’s boyfriend, who beat him, broke his arm, burned him with cigarettes, and finally hit him in the head. Ethan was airlifted to the hospital unconscious and having seizures, and died two days later from bleeding into the brain.

His murderer tried to claim that the injuries had been an accident, but experts agreed that Ethan was the victim of severe abuse. Ethan’s killer was sentenced to 50 years in prison.
