In Graham County, Arizona, the body of a young woman was found, shot in the back of the head and left in a livestock trough. She remained unidentified for two years. When the body was identified as that of 14-year-old Cadence Langley, police discovered that her mother was still receiving disability support payments for Cadence and arrested her.
Authorities suspect Cadence’s mother of being involved in the killing and disposal of Cadence’s body. Initially charged only with theft and fraud, but jailed on a $500,000 bond, Cadence’s mother was soon charged with first-degree murder in the execution-style killing of her daughter.
